Routine Cleaning
Wash your Tervis Classic Insulated and Tervis Symglass drinkware before first use, as well as any accessories. For everyday cleaning, place drinkware and accessories on the top rack of your dishwasher or hand wash with warm water and soap, avoiding steel wool or abrasive scrubbers.
Stains, Discoloration and Haze
Stains, discoloration, and haze will not affect the integrity of Tervis products or your ability to use them.
Coffee, tomato and citrus products can cause slight discoloration, so we recommend washing thoroughly after using for drinks containing those ingredients.
Like other plastic products, sunscreen can discolor our drinkware. Should contact occur, wash drinkware immediately using soap and cool water, then wipe dry with a soft cloth.
If for any other reason you notice a residue or haze, we recommend hand washing with a mild detergent or gently scrubbing with a small amount of baking soda on a soft, wet cloth.
Microwave
Check for Microwave Safety on bottom of tumbler. If there is no microwave warning on the bottom of your classic or Symglass drinkware, then the vessel (excluding the lid) is microwave safe for up to 30 seconds at a time.
Microwave When Full
This designation means the drinkware can be microwaved as long as it contains liquid up to 1 inch from the top of the cup.
Do Not Microwave
This designation means the drinkware or decoration has metallic elements and therefore is not microwave safe.
Condensation
Condensation can occasionally form between the walls of our Classic Insulated Drinkware after it is washed in the dishwasher. Since air contains moisture - even when sealed between walls - rapid heating and cooling can cause condensation that should not last more than 24 hours. If you notice a significant amount or frequent pooling between the walls, there may be a faulty seal, which is covered under our lifetime guarantee.
Stacking Tumblers
We do not recommend stacking our tumblers, as they can get stuck together just like glassware. If they do become stuck together, putting them in the freezer for several hours can help them release more easily.
